About the GENTLE DIET Program
The Gentle Diet program is a specially designed dietary regimen with reduced fat content, intended primarily for individuals with digestive system disorders. Its goal is to protect the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas, alleviate digestive discomfort, and support the body’s regeneration.
The program is particularly suitable for:
- stomach disorders (acute and chronic gastritis, ulcers),
- intestinal diseases,
- pancreatic disorders (pancreatitis),
- gallbladder and bile duct diseases,
- complicated liver conditions.
The menu is designed to be nutritionally and energetically complete and is prepared by a professional nutrition team. Menus are typically rotated in four-week cycles.
For certain diagnoses (e.g. gastric motility disorders, gallstones, gastric cancer), consultation with a physician is always necessary. We recommend choosing this program only on the basis of professional medical advice.
Individual Program Variations
Our Gentle Diet may differ in details from dietary regimens used in individual hospitals, particularly depending on the specific diagnosis, stage of the disease, and individual tolerances. For this reason, we recommend that each client review the current menu and the composition of individual dishes before starting the program and assess their suitability for their health condition.
Ingredients
In the Gentle Diet program, we emphasize simplicity, gentleness, and high digestibility of ingredients.
You can look forward to:
- lean types of meat prepared using gentle cooking methods
- white bread and easily digestible side dishes
- thermally processed vegetables
- lower-fat dairy products
- sweet dishes only as occasional variety, always with reduced fat content
We do not include:
- legumes and gas-forming foods
- nuts and oil-rich seeds
- spicy and irritating seasonings
Meals are prepared exclusively using gentle cooking techniques such as boiling, steaming, stewing, or baking.
Nutrition Facts
The Gentle Diet is based on the principles of fat restriction, gentle food preparation, and elimination of irritating components.
The goals of the program are:
- reducing the burden on the digestive tract
- supporting healing and regeneration
The Gentle Diet program is a targeted dietary regimen intended for specific medical situations and should be followed based on a specialist’s recommendation.
DIA Exception
The program offers the option of a so-called DIA exception, which involves excluding added sugar, honey, syrups, and canned fruit. In such cases, dishes are adjusted or sweetened with stevia. Modified meals are delivered under the original dish label; therefore, the total energy value and macronutrient content may differ.
Recommendations
The program menu consists of three main meals, therefore we recommend supplementing with snacks from your own supplies according to individual tolerance. Suitable options include fresh fruits from the permitted range (e.g. banana, orange, mandarin, nectarine, peach, apple, apricot) or fermented dairy products (acidophilus milk, kefir, buttermilk, cultured milk, sour milk). Alternatively, permitted dairy products (yogurt, curd cheese, dairy desserts) can be included, complemented with a small amount of plain white bread without toppings.
